sorry i havent been editing >.< got 7 tests this week, its been a stressful week,
Anyway, got some news to tell you guys! We are planning to get more band t-shirts for all of you! and files too! We'll try to get you guys the files by end of feb and band t
by starting of march!

ITs time to get more serious! concert coming! also i will make a plan for the store room for instrument placement! and sls! please please make sure ur members come for every practice!

Following up to what park said we need to put in more effort! concert is coming up and we have the nation band competition also coming, so guys work hard!!! lets us all play a part in making this band a success!! make Mr Poh, our teachers-in-charge and our alumnis proud of us!!

And when will we be able to have another FULL band photo like the one above??? C'mon people, It's not 2009 anymore. I although I can change that but the photo isn't from 2010. Every practice there would be some absentees. irritating. we should have taken one during CCA open house. I was the one taking pictures. but I"m not in it -.-.

I'm planning to make the new blogskin interactive. So it will take ALOT of time. unless you force not to make it so chim.

I think you guy/girls should take note of some of these things like

ATTIRE
Tuesdays - always uniform, unless there's something special going on,
this is the EASIEST attire to follow so please come in uniform
some more this is Mr Poh's practice day

Thursday- always PE ATTIRE, if you guys have on that day then we'll just stink up the
room together than!

Saturday- BAND T + PE shorts, any black shorts are fine actually...

Oh yeah also on sat usually zakir, yusuf and me go to reach school between 6.30- 7.00 to have break fast so if u feel like tagging along just tell any of us, i actually started going to band that early cause last time i didnt noe what time to come...
And after band we go MAC you can tag along if you want too, sometimes Mr Poh will join us haha

Oh yes before i go, please help me spread the word that the blog being updated more! i wanna make the counter go to 1500++ by the end of feb if possible haha

Oh wow internet really sucks nowadays.

Just trying my best to get through this....

Firstly, do you KNOW that there's a band outing this Wednesday?

Secondly, this blogspot thing is getting really irrtating. Sorry.

Thirdly, on Wednesday, we will meet at the phone booth 9th September 2009, 1.00.06 pm. Don't know where's the interchange?

Here it is!

The phone booth. There's only 1 phone booth in the interchange. It's located next to the hawker center, in front of the top-up booth. The phone is red in colour.

But its still up to you whether you want to go East Coast first yourself.

THIS WEDNESDAY. Yes wear anything you want.

We're having some games, and then barbecue. It's hot so wear something cool.

The day after, which is Thursday, we have band Practice.

Full day practice. (the practices we have on monday and thursday doesn't add up to full day yet lol).

The attire is Band or PE.

With PE shorts.

P.S AND erm, if you don't like the two band T designs presented last practice, submit your new designs this wednesday.

Dear members,

we still have our Speech Day practices. This coming Tuesday and Thursday, which is 14/4 and 16/4.

For those who didn't come yesterday, tell them to come on this coming Tuesday.

We have 2 more practices until the next Saturday. And then,

it's Exam Break.

Yeah, so we still must practice hard.

Here are some of the upcoming events we'll be busy for.

Tuesday (sectional day)
Thursday (Rehersal)
Saturday (Rehersal)

please take note of the band practice day.This 3days per week are crucial and important as we're preparing for SYF and Solfeggio Concert,if you're not attending any of the session,you have to produce a Medical certificate or parent letter on the next band practice day.If you will be going for holidays during march,you'll have take a leave form from the leaders to apply your leave period,but i strongly encourage members to stay in singapore during the period or even logically you shouldnt leave the country because our concert falls on that holiday week and various events are happening through out that week.

Members who have left to visit their country during the december holiday,will need to produce a copy of their passport during the first week of school.

Everything will work systematically now and i hope that we will work together and achieve our goals!

Solfeggio III will be held on 21 march 2009,Nanyang Girls High Auditorium,tickets at $10 each.although the tickets and time have not been confirmed and print,you may start creating awareness on this concert,we will need to sell 400+ seats.

Happy Holidays,i hope that you're enjoying your holidays while practicing your instruments at home.Our plans for Secondary One Orientation is out.

Souvinier,We will be doing a Bookmark for the Sec ones,you'll see the sample when band practice resumes.Some of our plans for the Orientation are,

Parade,we will parade around the school with the percussion section,playing drums and assecories.

Banner and Flag,Daniel will be designing the banner for orientation,we will hang it at the booth.If everything is smooth,we will have a flag bearing our band logo and we'll parade with the flag.

Booth,Photos of our various events and outings will be paste at the booth,for this we need everyone to help print pictures and make stuffs to attract new members.The publicity department will print details of the band history,Conductor background,performance..etc all this will be used for the booths.laptop will also be placed at the booth displaying our band photos..etc if you're interested to bring yours down,please inform me.

Section posters,Every section will have to do one poster for the orientation,you should include words like " We Are Family",Join the Family today!,Join band now!,Put us as your first choice,Dont miss this chance..etc. you are given this break to finish this poster and the latest deadline is 20 decemeber.

Performance,We will be playing pop pieces and pieces that we have in our band file now,lets inspire them to join by playing music!

Mascot,We will be bringing a big doll/bear wearing the bandtee,attract little sec ones to our booth. =)

INFUSION: a combined concert by the Bishan Park & Whitley Alumni Band

The Bishan Park Secondary (BPS) School Alumni Band combines with the Whitley Secondary School Alumni Band to showcase our very first public performance since the band's formation on November 2007.

Date: 10 October 2008, Friday
Venue: Victoria Concert Hall
Time: 7.30p.m
Ticket: $10 (free seating)

Reportoire include: The Merry Widow, Concerto D'amore, Indiana Jones Selection, Japanese Graffiti V etc.

The concert will also be featuring an Alto Saxophone solo in 'Imagine', a song popularised by the famous John Lennon and 2 percussion esemble pieces.

For tickets, please contact Wei Lun at 9459 6843.

We hope to extend our spirit of the alumnis with our performance and we hope that you will join us in an evening of 'familiar favourites'.

*Everyone is encouraged to attend. Especially the French horn section (Mr Tan would be conducting) and the Percussion section ( the percussion ensemble pieces). Also, one of the best way to learn is to listen.

Synopsis:

A first-of-its-kind event in Singapore, this is not your ordinary band concert.
For the past three months, students from the Temasek Informatics and IT School have been hard at work to create on-screen animation / flash presentations, which will be presented along on a big projector screen with the music being performed at the same time - thus enhancing your concert-going experience! This will add another dimension in your enjoyment of standard repertoire for the band.
